Man this place was PACKED and DELICIOUS! I was hesitant. With claims to have the best BBQ, and me not being a real BBQ person, I needed to be impressed. The line extends to the outside parking lot, don't let that deter you. The prices are listed per lb but you can get 1/3 to 3/4 of a lb. Great for sharing. The sides are also sharable even the small. The sauces I liked the Thick and Sassy like me.The cowboy caviar, Mac and cheese and greens were amazing! The pinto beans were eh.It lives up to the hype! I am a fan!

I have been wanting to go so this past Sunday for my wife's birthday we drove from Hampton to eat. the line was not long and the service was very fast and the people were awesome. we both had brisket and sides. the food was fantastic and we sat out side. my wife loved the coleslaw and the beans. the potato salad was great. I feel the brisket stole the show it was cooked perfect. they only cook enough meat for each day so it is fresh each day. get there early by the time we left the line was back to the door. we also meet the owner Orange was her name very friendly and a great woman. we will go back. Thanks for the day

Highly recommended. What more can I say that hasn't already been said by everyone else? This is amazing food, with amazing staff, and an amazing atmosphere. The smell that hits you as you line up in the queue really sets the mood for a great experience. And portions you get a very generous for the price you pay. Next time we are in Richmond we will come back here for sure.

Food - 5/5Atmosphere - 5/5Service - 5/5Value - 4/5Incredible BBQ, they are doing everything right there. Interesting that you actually pay by the wight of the cuts you order, and they slice and wight them right in front of you just like a deli. The sides are diverse and interesting, much more than you would find at any other BBQ place - the caramelized onion pie and the chipotle sweet potato were particularly amazing sides. A great dessert menu as well, though we didn’t try. They have a full bar, outdoor seating, and 3 BBQ sauce options at every table. Really a great spot for any occasion. I noticed several folks ordering massive portions for takeout; pretty top-tier choice for entertaining a dinner party, I would say.THEY DO SOMETIMES SELL OUT of many menu items, so you gotta get in before the dinner rush.
